Harlem Wine Room is the latest venture from entrepreneur and Harlem power player Felix Paredes in an effort to continue the rich tradition of Harlem nightlife. In a rapidly transforming neighborhood Harlem Wine Room promises to be a lounge that’s grown, sexy and accepting to anyone who respects the culture and wants to have a good time.
The lounge’s carefully curated wine list is designed to highlight diversity in taste. Harlem Wine Room has everything from Moscato d’Asti’s, to Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons. Our cellars have wines from Italy and Spain and even a cherry wine. This list was created with the understanding that the best wine is the wine you enjoy drinking, not the wine that some critic gave 90 points to in a magazine.
With wine, food is a necessity, and our specialty is carpaccio (Felix’s favorite dish). We take a beef tenderloin, cut into 1 1/2 inch thick slices, and pound it until it’s paper thin. We then combine it with Harlem Wine Room’s signature mix of herbs and spices to make one of, if not thee, best carpaccio in the city. In addition, Harlem Wine Room offers a selection of paninis and cheese plates that will give you a taste of the different regions our wines explore.
Felix has a strong connection with Harlem. In 2017 he bought Papa Juan’s, a local Harlem Cigar Lounge. Through hard work, perseverance, and a firmly held belief in inclusion, Felix turned the establishment around, transforming it into one of the premier venues for cigar lovers in the city. Harlem Cigar Lounge has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Cigar Journal and has been used as a location for What’s Eating Harlem as well as VH1’s Black Ink Crew and Love and Hip Hop franchises. In addition, Harlem Cigar Lounge proudly serves as one of the venues for the Cigar Smoking World Championship. Felix’s passion drove Harlem Cigar Room to the success it enjoys today and he now plans to bring that same passion to Harlem Wine Room.
